Manchin's Popularity Soars in West Virginia
Approval Rating Jumps by 16 Percentage Points
Largest Improvement of Any US Senator
West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin's popularity has surged over the past year, according to a new poll by Morning Consult. Manchin's approval rating among West Virginians has jumped by 16 percentage points since March 2021, from 40% to 57%. This is the largest improvement in job approval ratings of any US Senator over the same period.
The poll, which was conducted from March 17-20, 2023, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. It surveyed 997 registered voters in West Virginia.
