Biden Downplays Debate Disaster In First Post Debate Interview

Biden Downplays Debate Disaster in First Post-Debate Interview

President Defends Performance, Vows to Stay in 2024 Race

Biden Rejects Calls to Withdraw, Frames Debate as "Learning Experience"

Defiantly rejecting calls for him to drop out of the 2024 presidential race, President Joe Biden has downplayed his widely criticized performance in last week's debate.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News, Biden brushed off his disastrous debate performance as a learning experience. He acknowledged making some mistakes but said he would not let it derail his campaign.

"I didn't do as well as I should have," Biden said. "But I'm not going to let that define me. I'm going to learn from my mistakes and come back stronger."

Biden's interview comes amidst growing pressure from within his own party for him to reconsider his bid for a second term. Several Democratic lawmakers have publicly expressed concerns about his age and fitness for office, particularly after his poor debate showing.

However, Biden remains adamant about staying in the race. He argues that he is still the best candidate to defeat Republican nominee Donald Trump in the general election.

Only time will tell whether Biden can turn his campaign around and prove to voters that he is up to the task of serving a second term. But for now, he is unwavering in his determination to stay in the race despite the mounting challenges he faces.
